Not many businesses have the privilege of achieving rural accommodation status as there are many requirements to fulfil. Surrounded by the wilderness of Trentino, our farmhouse in the Italian Alps offers you an unparalleled family environment. For anyone looking for a farm stay or a hotel in the Italian Alps, prepare to be surprised by a new concept in hospitality: the rural accommodation.

A fully refurbished farmhouse at the gateway to the Stelvio National Park

Maso Fior di Bosco is a typical Alpine farmhouse which dates back to 1879. It was fully refurbished in 2012. The farmhouse is a traditional wooden and stone building, typical of the Val di Rabbi and Alpine areas more generally. The lower part, made from stone, used to be used by the farmers as a stable for their animals (cows, pigs, sheep and goats) whilst the upper wooden section was used for drying and storing the hay harvested during the summer months. We have refurbished our farmhouse in line with modern sustainable construction methods, whilst maintaining the traditional architectural style of a Val di Rabbi farm. During the renovation, the utmost care was taken to retain the traditional architecture and to fit in with the surroundings. The building materials used were selected with great care: spruce and larch wood from Trentino, stone from the valley. The traditional small triangular or stylised flower-shaped windows cut into the planks of the upper part of the original building were retained. These openings used to help with the drying of the hay. This detail is also recalled in our logo which depicts two planks of wood with the stylised flower-shaped cut-out.

Maso Fior di Bosco in Trentino’s Val di Rabbi is a new and welcoming establishment comprising 7 rooms and 2 apartments surrounded by an authentic landscape of meadows and farmhouses, the perfect place for a relaxing holiday in the Italian Alps. In our warm “snug”, you can savour special breakfasts, with the genuine flavours of the Italian Alps: jams, fresh bread, eggs, cake, biscuits, deserts, yoghurt, juices, all homemade using ingredients grown by us or local producers, demonstrating our commitment to locally sourced food. The dinners prepared by the Casna family will also introduce you to authentic but forgotten flavours: each ingredient is selected with care, home-grown or produced by local farmers, or gathered in the meadows and mountains of the Val di Rabbi.

• Between 59 and 7 days before arrival: deduction of 30% of the deposit
• Between 7 and 0 days before arrival: 100% of deposit retained
• No refunds will be given in the event of late arrival or early departure
